Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Autumn leaves, cedar boxes, drying pipe tobacco, a toasted marshmallowsweetness, Tunnocks teacakes. There is a herbal edge, almost menthol.
Palate: Tropical fruit, barley sugar sweets, then that savoury edge comes through, bacon and cheese turnovers.
Finish: Chewy and savoury.
Comment: Well put together, has a sense of poise and control.

Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: A strange meatiness in here. After a while, some lighter floral notes develop, alongside buttery pastry and waft of toasted cereal.
Palate: Warming, with spicy notes of cinnamon, peat smoke, cooking apples and an underlying creaminess. The drying oak creeps back in though.
Finish: Creamy notes, alongside the influence of the oak.
Comment: The persistence of time has been kind to this, up to a point. Some lovely fruity creaminess if you can get past the oak.
