Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Cafe latte notes hit first, steamed creamy milk and coffee beans. Big richflavours develop. Leather and oak.
Palate: That bitter oak hits first but mellows into a sweet syrup taste. Mouthcoatingwith spices developing.
Finish: Long and drying.
Comment: A good everyday dram that shows balance and complexity.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Rich. Deep. Oak is blatant but toned down by sweet malty notes. Nutty. Nuts and raisins milk chocolate bar. Stewed prunes. Dry apricot.
Palate: Sweet and smooth. Mouth coating. Nearly syrupy. Prunes again and aspicy kick. Powder ginger.
Finish: Lingering, Dry, a slight astringency.
Comment: On the edge of being too woody but manages to keep a pleasant balance if you give it time, peace and quiet ! A tribute to old age?
