Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense, deep, complex. Fruit cake. Toffee. Oak is superbly integrated. Cedar. Candied orange. Opens on toasted notes.
Palate: Thick, mouth coating. Unwinds rich coffee toffee, crème caramel and toasted nuts. Getting drier and spicier. Oak is elegantly present, framing that rich Dundee cake character.
Finish: Dry, spicy. Lingers on oak and cedar notes. Cubèbe pepper and exotic fruit.
Comment: A beautifully balanced and matured dram. Rich, complex, aristocratic.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Masses of stewing rhubarb and fresh gooseberry tart with a slightly burnt base. This mix of freshness and a rich praline note continues with water.
Palate: Lengthy, relaxed with good concentration of sweetness, especially when neat. That needle seen on the nose is there alongside some chocolate ganache.
Finish: Clean and soft.
Comment: Good palate whisky, but keep the water on the side.
