Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Lobster pots, salty fishing line and carbolic soap, with an addition of freshly sawn pine. Very domineering, with a touch of creaminess if one digs deeper.
Palate: Creamy peat, some peppery notes, a touch of stewed banana and icing sugar. Sweet and peaty. Reminiscent of very sweet Lapsang Souchong tea.
Finish: The peat lingers, alongside remnants of the sweetness.
Comment: Solid and distinctly 'Islay' in character.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Sweet peat and moss fires, coal tar soap, raw smoked bacon, but then under this is mango and a sharp citrus note.
Palate: That sweet peat fire note comes through, then the sweetness ramps upwith tropical fruit notes. Just at the end the peat reek hits back.
Finish: Crisp, peaty and earthy.
Comment: Well balanced with lots of layers of sweetness and peat.
