Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Phenolic. Wet soot, smoke and creosote. The kiln the day after. Opens on lighter notes as the smoke screen vanishes. Marshmallow.
Palate: Smooth, round, velvety. Sweet maltiness. Smoked haddock. Develops on mint and liquorice. Lemon pulp with a touch of vanilla syrup.
Finish: Short but clean. Slightly sooty.
Comment: A fresh and balanced dram. Easy going, straightforward, cheerful.A perfect appetiser.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Bonfires. Burning leaves and damp foliage. A balanced mix of smoke andstewed fruits, just a hint of sweetness.
Palate: Soft and gentle. An intriguing melange of smoked fish, lemon drops and fresh bread. Quite oily in feel too.
Finish: Short with the smoke rising.
Comment: An easy drinking dram with reasonable complexity.
