Tasting notes

Taster Robin Laing

Nose: Puff candy. Herbal sharpness (bog myrtle). Soap powder. Smoke,smoky bacon,then embers.
Palate: Juicy,with some sweetness but dominated by smoke,tar and liquorice.Sweeter with water.
Finish: Fruit lollipop rolled in ash.
Comment: A rather curious mixture.

Nose: Oily ropes,barbecued fish and then stewed fruit.
Palate: Tar and peat with a spiky and spicy sharpness.
Finish: Pleasant and peaty.
Comment: Not subtle but does what it sets out to do.
