Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Kicks off with spicy notes, warming ginger and mellow nutmeg, actually custard tart. A faint whiff of smoke in the background.
Palate: Balanced, notes of sherry, cinnamon and nutmeg coming through. SomeChristmas spices and pudding notes.
Finish: Drying and slightly nutty.
Comment: A wonderfully smooth whisky, nicely balanced indeed.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense. Rich toffee, candied orange. Creamy custard. Freshly baked bread.
Palate: Smooth and velvety. Fruit and oak are well integrated. Dundee cake. But midpalate is watery. Then spices gives it a kick. Ginger and whitepepper. A smoky touch (burnt wood ?).
Finish: Dry, spicy, very pleasant.
Comment: A lovely whisky with a hole in the middle ! A higher alcohol strength would have made a big difference.
