Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Malt loaf and butter, warm red berry pie, wet oak, pencil boxes and baked apricot jam. A sweet resin note. Runny honey.
Palate: Big and sweet at first, then some tangy clover honey comes through. Oak provides some grip and a gentle bitter note.
Finish: A little like cloudy cider, with dusty spices.
Comment: Well put together and balanced.
8.2
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Malty and nutty with a precise oaky character. Toffee. Apples cooked in honey. A sap touch.
Palate: Round and sweet with a bitter oak note. A bit weak at midpalate. Oak revails. Drying on ground ginger.
Finish: Dry, a bit astringent with a sweet aftertaste. Dried apples.
Comment: A well structured dram but the oakiness is a bit too blatant for me.
