Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Goat's cheese and honey wafers. We are back at the farm, fresh turned soil, earthy, mulch and barley stalks. Fresh dough, yeasty and cereally, multi-seed buns with mayo and Haslet slices. Herbal.
Palate: More cereal, honey-nut cornflakes and almond slices. Overtaken by huge fruit-salad. A gentle spice lurks but then gives in to tannins similar to well stewed Earl Grey tea.
Finish: Coating at first then dries pretty short and sharp.
Comment: Highly complicated with lots of layers and balanced sweetness.

Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Quite cereally, with a hint of vanilla and a little bit of all-spice. Just a touch of Christmas; not quite the big day, but you're probably already tired of all that shopping.
Palate: Nutty. A little lighter, but the vanilla is still there and the Christmas cake is a little closer to completion.
Finish: A bit spicy, which doesn't really follow on from the nose or palate but adds extra balance.
Comment: A lot going on, but all balances nicely. Top job.
