Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Fresh and briny. Oily apricot, orange and barley notes. Gentle, phenolic peat smoke, Parma Violets and a touch of tar. The citric, briny freshness balances and the freshness.
Palate: Oilier and a little denser than the nose with more toffeed oak and barley, impedes the fresher citric elements. Hints of coffee and briny notes come through.
Finish: Very long and briny with ‘back of the throat’ spices! Lingering violet tinged peat smoke. Superb finish.
Comment: I love that Bowmore-esque Parma Violet character and I really love that finish.

Taster   Alwynne Gwilt
Nose: Plums, figs and menthol – weird and wonderful. Sublimely attractive. Immediately want to go back for more. Rich melons, dried apples and baked, tinned peaches.
Palate: Sweeter than expected. Lots of sweet shoppe notes: Sweet Tart candies, lavender, rock candy, candy bracelets, strawberry foams, banana foams and cinnamon hearts.
Finish: Sea salt and milk chocolate, a hint of lime.
Comment: Wow. Loved this. Okay, it’s very sweet and won’t be for everyone, but it’s interesting and it keeps unfolding more and more layers.
