Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Balanced ripe orchard fruits and banana bread with brown sugar. Eucalyptus leaf and Liquorice Allsorts with ripe pear, clove and fresh coconut flesh. Delicately malty. A subtle smoke is more apparent with water.
Palate: Honeyed and gently medicinal, balanced by subtle creaminess. Clove and plenty of fresh green apples and ripe pears. Lemon and lime candies with water.
Finish: Charcoal-grilled orchard fruits linger for a medium finish.
Comment: An enjoyable lightly smoked fruit-driven dram.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Peat up first, it’s quite fresh and earthy, like a bracing walk. Rubber soles and something approaching beeswax. Love Heart sweets, sandalwood and amber round this out.
Palate: Dry smoked fresh fruit. There’s some heather honey that becomes a little leathery, vanilla cream sweetness, and resinous with a little fruit and nut bar too.
Finish: The finish is medium length, with lingering heat and dry earthy smoke to wrap it up.
Comment: A lovely combination of fruit and peat in harmony.
