Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Bananas and custard, caramel wafers, powdered sugar. Some green apples and honey, mandarins and a touch of gooseberry.
Palate: There is a really liquorice and anise edge to this. Very pronounced herbal note, Swiss lozenges. Sugared almonds. Also a malt loaf note comes through. Fresh bread.
Finish: Long and herbal, touches of sweet vanilla.
Comment: That herbal quality on the palate is very interesting, a decent dram though.

Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Creamy, with a caramel custard note emerging first, alongside some fondant icing, a touch of menthol and some slightly brown banana. Water helps this along with some musky, pollen filled white lily.
Palate: Wheaty and malty, with cream crackers, into a touch of dry spice and some gentle vanilla. It feels youthful, but doesn't have a biting spiritiness.
Finish: Light and creamy, with a touch of the vanilla sweetness lingering on the back palate.
Comment: Doesn't sing out as loudly as one would hope for - it's certainly pleasant, but not hugely exciting.
