Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Slightly fat and doughy (cookie mix) with a glucose like quality. With water, there's big sweet notes, toasted marshmallow, chestnut and a hint of meatiness in the background.
Palate: Very clean, ripe and chewy.A little hot when neat (needs water),then stewed rhubarb, roasted malt before caramel toffee comes through as does stewed plum. Good acidity. Well balanced.
Finish: Dries a little quickly.
Comment: A perfectly pleasant potation.
7.5
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Rich and complex. Good integration of fruit and oak. Cider apple. Honey andnuts. Nougat. Opening on biscuity notes. An earthy peaty note in the back.
Palate: A brief smooth start then spices and alcohol speak up. Pear and guava. Quite spicy at mid palate. With a light fizziness. Getting drier.
Finish: Intense,lingering. Dry and astringent.
Comment: The palate does not hold what the nose promises. The expected subtleness is missing.
