Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Cider apples, damp cellar. Dessert-like. Crème caramel. Pears in puff pastry.
Palate: Smooth, quite sweet. Caramelised apples. Tarte Tatin.
Finish: Medium, spicy (nutmeg and a touch of cinnamon).
Comment: Not so far from an aged calvados. Well balanced but the wood is not totally integrated.
7.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: An odd oxidised note. Tinned pear and evaporated milk. Burning cigar, roasted nut and a signed note like burning hair. Glossy, but there's something not quite right behind.
Palate: Big hit with good length. Pretty, fresh and balanced though a touch of soapiness knocks it back.
Finish: Cereal.
Comment: A strange package that almost works.
