Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Grassy with a lingering distant smoke. Like a burnt off bonfire. Apple skin with a hint of yeast, reminding of a fermenting cider.
Palate: Smoke is far more distinctive. Sweet shellfish. A hint of roasted coffee beans.
Finish: Dry, smoky, slightly sooty.
Comment: The smoke gives its full expression on the palate, overwhelming the fruit. An early morning dram. Possibly to be tried on your porridge?

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: High phenols. Intense. Seaweed mixed with lime, bog myrtle, wet fish. Seems young and slightly plain. Rubber emerges with water.
Palate: Very light. Alcohol, smoke and pork fat. Killed by water. That rubbery note returns suggesting youth (or immaturity).
Finish: Dilute and thin.
Comment: It's young and seems to have been too heavily reduced.
