Tasting notes
Taster   Dominic Roskrow
Nose: Sooty and oily, like an old Hornby train engine. There are some citrus notes too.
Palate: Big,powerful and oily but with sweet pear and tinned exotic fruits mixed upin the coal dust and holding their own in the smoke.A powerful double act.
Finish: Long, with more of the tinned pear and charcoal.
Comment: A monster. It's rare to get independent bottlings from Islay this good. Up there with the big boys.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Peat in the jar ! The kiln the day after or the bonfire going out under a drizzle. Touch of barley sugar and vanilla.
Palate: Sweet and smooth. Smoked haddock. Lemon drops. Cereal bowl.
Finish: Short and vanishing on smoke.
Comment: A pleasant young islander (an Ileach obviously). Refreshing, wrapped insmoke, easygoing. To quench the thirst after a walk.
