Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Tropical fruit salad from a tin, with sweet syrup, quite punchy. Then dried mango, pineapple and desiccated coconut. Flicking through an old record collection: vinyl, cardboard and dusty plastic. Red apple skins. A meaty edge, lamb mince. Wood smoke.
Palate: Pear and custard hard sweets. Soft goat’s cheese and honey. Cherry Lips sweets, almost Parma Violet. A hint of tobacco.
Finish: Cherry Sherbet refresher sweets.Salted black liquorice.
Comment: Wow, seriously intriguing layers, subtle peat too.

Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Vibrant. Loads of spice, white grapes and weirdly the smell of ginger biscuits that have been dipped in tea. Troglodytes.
Palate: Oakiness to begin with – then milky, fruit heavy coffee. The milk turns, but the fruit remains. Goes from red berries to peaches and cream. Bright and almost refreshing.
Finish: Middling finish – not the longest, but is almost smokey.
Comment: Everything develops really nicely and is balanced well. Probably got something for everyone here.
