Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: A gentle nose but not shy, full of chocolate covered raisins and peanuts. Some fresh cut barley notes and then the sweetness of wildflower honey.
Palate: Reminiscent of pancakes, bacon and maple syrup. Really well balanced between sweet and a little meaty. Then some fresh fruits, raspberries and strawberries. Those chocolate coated raisins come through too.
Finish: Goes all blackcurrant, clingy and syrupy. Shades of toasted vanilla pods.
Comment: Something left field but worth engaging with.

Taster Sam Coyne

Nose: Rum and raisin ice-cream. Maple syrup, grilled pineapple and chocolate covered bananas.
Palate: Brandy drenched raisins and sultanas, before it moves a little fresher to strawberries and raspberries. There's a dry biscuit note too, that seems to carry a little cream cheese and chive note with it.
Finish: Custard and an interesting thyme note.
Comment: Balances some interesting sweet and savoury notes. To my knowledge I've never come across a cream cheese whisky before. Not a bad thing!
