Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Salty at first, but with a creamy quality, salted crunchy peanut butter. Maritime but more in the dunes that seashore. Sea pinks, samphire, driftwood. Fresh tanned leather and beeswax polish.
Palate: Wonderful apple and honey sweetness up front then that beach dune salinity grows. A gentle fruit edge, the waxiness of mango and tartness of blood orange. Pepper spice.
Finish: Short, salty, dries with hints of sweetness.
Comment: Leaves a salt edge on the lips like walking on the beach in a storm. Evocative of salt tinged air.
9.2
Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Sea-air, a salty tang up-front, but also a caramel note.
Palate: Ripe stone-fruits, with a rich syrup. Laps over the tongue. Salt remains before a smoke settles in the background just to hold everything together. Gentle oak.
Finish: Rather short, and a little drying.
Comment: A walk on the coast, with the faint promise of burning embers.
