Tasting notes
Taster   Mark Newton
Nose: Fresh! Delightful maltiness that combines with sweet apple sauce. Pears and fresh peaches. Tinned fruit in custard. Green tomatoes and geraniums. Touch of dried hay.
Palate: Voluptuous and oily. Orange marmalade, with some grapefruit acidity. Dried apricots, floral honey. Slightly waxy. Peaches. Crab apple jelly. That lovely maltiness shines.
Finish: Cloves, black pepper, and a simple (tasty) mix of maltiness and orchard fruits.
Comment: This is simply a beautiful, uncomplicated, unfussy companion.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: A wonderful mix of spring time and autumn, sweet meadow flowers, barley sugar sweets, caster sugar, then moving to leave mulch, boot dubbin and fields of fresh cut wheat.
Palate: This is unctuous and mouth-coating; clotted cream and honey. Peach flavoured barley water, with a touch of demerara sugar in there. Orange pith and sweet creamy oak.
Finish: Quite a little spice prickle just at the end, but lovely layers of sweetness.
Comment: Very engaging and an excellent dram. Highly recommended.
