Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Buttered fruit loaf, glacé cherries, a touch of Golden Syrup and sweet white wine. Fruity, sweet and very malty indeed.
Palate: Dried fruit notes develop first, against a backdrop of malted multigrain wholemeal bread, a delicate liquorice spice and creamy vanilla.
Finish: A malt-filled finish, with undertones of spiced fruit.
Comment: Well developed, balanced and very easy to drink. Another solid introduction to malt whisky for a newbie.
8.3
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Malty. Intense. Hayloft. Butterscotch. Orange gingerbread. Milk chocolate and nougat. Makes me think of my granny's kitchen on a Sunday!
Palate: Silky. Lots of toffee. Orange curd. Like the nose, on the baking side. Getting drier.
Finish: Lingering, dry with a spicy touch. Cinnamon aftertaste.
Comment: A liquid pudding...with an assertive character.
