Tasting notes

Taster Lyndsey Gray

Nose: Sitting down to a breakfast of granola, dried apricots, coconut flakes and slices of banana, all smothered with Greek yoghurt. Key lime pie and molasses begin to appear.
Palate: Chargrilled pineapple, mango yoghurt, burnt toast and chocolate covered coffee beans. Calms down with the addition of water allowing notes of orange marmalade, buttered croissants and treacle to come forward.
Finish: Creamy and buttery, with a spicy sweetness at the end.
Comment: A fruity explosion to start your day.

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Treacle tart, huge waves of melted brown sugar, toffee pennies and vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate shavings. Leather gloves and barley sugar sweets. Some earthy notes lurk too.
Palate: The sweetness of maraschino cherries and a little fig jam. Orange segments with honey and chilli spiced syrup. The oak comes in with tingling, almost numbing pepper notes.
Finish: A prickly salt edge, with a tinge of that numbing pepper.
Comment: Fascinating. A little water helps it reveal more behind the sweetness.
