Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Sand dunes. Gorse in blossom. Clean, fresh, very dry, fudge. Or perhaps Scottish tablet.
Palate: Creamy, oaty, becoming grainy. Cereal grain. Slightly vegetal flavours. Scotch broth?
Finish: Some grainy astringency.
Comment: My guess is that the whisky was initially less rich and malty than the "official" Glen Deveron bottlings. The port finish adds some roundness and interest.
7.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Quite light, delicate and fruit: raspberry is the main note along with very light malty notes.
Palate: Sweet all the way through from start to finish. Some boiled sweet, marzipan; winey rather than malty.
Finish: Very light. Rose wine (Tavel).
Comment: Inoffensive, but what's the point?
