Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Gentle and perfumed: fresh herb, cinnamon, orange blossom honey/burnt orange peel, redcurrant, caramelised fruit, prune tart.
Palate: Soft with a prickly bite mid-palate where the orange zest and hickory wood emerges, then smoothes out again. Vanilla and mocha coffee.
Finish: Woody, then mellow fruits.
Comment: A classic, complex wheated bourbon. Great material for an Old Fashioned.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Assertive. Pecan pie. Pastry.
Palate: Lots of fresh-oak vanilla. Creamy in both flavour and texture. Cookie-like. Cooked apricot or peach.
Finish: Maple syrup. Smoky.
Comment: Lots of layers. A great dessert whiskey. Thanksgiving dinner?
