Tasting notes

Taster Phoebe Calver

Nose: Lovely bright banoffee pie with ripe slices of banana, then chocolate stem ginger cookies and green orchard fruits.
Palate: The fruit gets a little more juicy, with pineapple juice and chunks of papaya. Then heathery honey notes and stewed green apples.
Finish: The warming ginger spice lingers on, with green apple skins mixed in.
Comment: With all the different fruity notes, it’s quite the party in there. I think this would work really nicely as a long drink if you wanted to change it up.

Taster Christopher Coates

Nose: Pencil shavings, popcorn, shredded wheat and applesauce. Pear drop and vanilla syrup. Oil paints and buttered toast. Delicate jasmine.
Palate: Light but full of flavour. Pear drop and roasted agave. A balance between syrupy sweetness, vanilla pod, green peppers and honey-dipped sourdough toast. Honey-coated granola.
Finish: Short and sweet, on pear cider and mead.
Comment: A mature and well-rounded blend, with a high malt content.
