Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Treacly. Icing sugar. American cream soda.
Palate: Good malt background. Vanilla. Liquorice. Slight coal/tar smokiness.
Finish: Soothing rather than aggressive.
Comment: A big whisky, with some of the smokiness I remember.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Rich, malty, sweet: nutty toffee, caramelised apple, vanilla, butterscotch. With water, light spice and smoke, balsa wood and a sappy youthfulness.
Palate: A sweet, nutty start, then dries. Good weight with slightly hard spirit. Decent balance.
Finish: Dry, fresh.
Comment: It just might benefit from a little more time in the cask.
