Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Rich and rounded with clean malty notes. Chocolate, caramelised banana, some citric notes, orange pulp, toffee and spice.
Palate: The chocolate comes back giving a sweet, balanced dram. Good mature malt character.
Finish: Chocolate, coffee and orange peel.
Comment: Good balance with the rum at no point overwhelming the whisky. American readers will have to smuggle it into the country along with their Cohibas.

Nose: Toasty. Biscuity. Petits fours.
Palate: Vanilla flan. Sweet Cuban coffee.
Finish: Juicy. A hint of dried tropical fruits.
Comment: The less pronounced rum character of the two Caribbean accented whiskies in this tasting. When you cook, do you want the herbs and spices to announce themselves individually, or to be part of the blend of flavours? David Stewart seems usually to opt for t
