Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Sharp. Lively. Young oak. Rhubarb crumble. White pepper. Develops on spices. With water, more wood, damp cellar.
Palate: Crisp, clean. Flowing. A full spices outburst. In the back, a winey flavour (sweet grapes). Water cuts the edges off but it also trivializes the flavors.
Finish: Sweeter than midpalate. Almondy.
Comment: More interesting without water. But then, alcohol prevails. The nose is appealing.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Sugared almond, wood sap/pine resin back to estery notes. Pineapple, sulphur.
Palate: Concentrated and quite firm the alcohol giving heat to the sweet demerara sugar sweetness. Toffee with good weight.
Finish: Spicy. Good length.
Comment: At last something to get to grips with.
