Nose: Sweet toffee and peat then with water, melon and pineapple.
Palate: Not like the nose. The fruit's there but so are salt andoil, and a sharp and aggressive big mouth peatattack.
Finish: Long,smoky and peppery.
Comment: A fine example of young peat on the rampage.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Pale and strong and hot to start. When water is added the smoke emerges:seaweed (nori) lightlemon. Defiant and vibrant.
Palate: Clean and smoky with sudden peppery burst of smoked fish, and that seaweed/marine note.
Finish: Oak cakes and then a sweet syrupy note. Cheesecake! Then it all comes together well.
Comment: Might lack subtlety, but sure as hell it definitely delivers.
