Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Maple syrup, leather, a little heather honey and dried cooking herbs. Thereis a little mintiness to this as well.
Palate: Sweet until the oak begins to show through. That herbal quality is here butalso a citrus edge.
Finish: Long and a little dry.
Comment: Oh for a cold dark night with an open fire, this would be near perfection.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Rubbery. Acrylic paint. Opens on more pleasant notes. Thyme infusion. Hint of eucalyptus. A medicinal character. Herbalist's shop.
Palate: Smooth. Sweet at start then drying on oak notes and spices. Again the thyme infusion with a bitter touch as if it had been infused too long.
Finish: Dry, spicy.
Comment: The nose is appealing but the sherry makes the palate a bit dour.Would certainly warm you up on a frosty morning.
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Mature but slightly greasy and a little soapy. Boiled sweets. Very buttery and slightly spicy (cumin).
Palate: Cognac like: dried peels, grilled nut and good grip. Long and quite full in body.
Finish: Burnt cake. Slightly bitter.
Comment: Lacks balance.
Taster   Arthur Motley
Nose: Tomato paste and hoi sin sauce. Melted chocolate.
Palate: Sweet and sickly yet astringent at the same time.
Finish: Cloying yet woody at the same time.
Comment: Not a great example.
