Nose: Big emulsion note, followed by toasted vanilla, a little anise and nail polish remover/acetone. Dig a little deeper and some tinned apricots emerge.
Palate: Very strong and powerful, with a sour cherry and then some creaminess, with a little vanilla pipe tobacco popping in at the end. Needs water to open up. With a dash, mandarin orange segments and sour cherries develop, with a toasted wood note.
Finish: A hint of creaminess, alongside those cherries.
Comment: Direct, if a little one-dimensional.

Taster
Nose: Soft and gentle at first, then candy rock cigarettes. Honey Nut cornflakes, demerara sugar. Steamed milk sweetened with honey. Glacé cherries.
Palate: Very focussed on the sweet side, with something just a touch sour. Dutch waffles, warmed rye bread. Tobacco and aromatic cocktail bitters.
Finish: Lavender bread with dark orange blossom honey.
Comment: Great stuff, packs a punch with a lot of flavours.
Score: 8
