A very drinkable peated Highlander. Good to see Ardmore’s unique take on peated whiskies is gaining a much greater exposure.

Taster

Nose: Earthy peat dominates here. In the background: leather, treacle and dates.

Palate: There’s a creaminess to this whisky, which along with the vanilla balances out the dry peatiness.

Finish: A dry, smoky finish that’s not overpowering.

Comment: A pleasant, full-bodied dram which holds back on the peat.
