Nose

Simultaneously sharp and rich; fresh peelings from apples next to freshly baked, cinnamon-topped apple pie, with vanilla pods, raisins and spilt lemon juice on the worktop.

Palate

Creamy texture. Vanilla and butterscotch with those apple peelings, lemon and liquorice root hiding out in the background, before some tannin and cracked white pepper dry things out.

Finish

Confected apples, dates and sawdust.

Comment

A perfectly serviceable dram. Easy drinking, but quickly forgotten.
