Hard to believe this is a whisky. Closer to a rum.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Sweet and sugary. Cane syrup with a hint of liquorice and barley sugar. The sweetness reminds more of a liqueur than a whisky.

Palate: Sweet with a strong Demerara flavour. A rum in disguise? More burning than spicy.

Finish: Bittersweet, not holding long but leaves an astringent aftertaste.

Comment: Hard to believe this is a whisky. Closer to a rum.

Score: 6.3

Taster

Nose: Medium intensity, slightly leafy with a hint of caraway. In time a youthful edgy note is added. Green with water, quite hard. Green garden twine. Plant like.

Palate: Soft start only getting some grip in the centre and then builds in intensity to the finish. Better neat than diluted. A bit rigid and slightly.

Finish: Metallic on the finish.

Comment: Nothing to write home about.
