ABV 51.4%
The nose is more enticing than the palate. But a decent dram on the whole.

Nose: Grassy and malty. Angelica, fresh coriander. Freshly crushed almonds. A floral note too. Very springtime like.
Palate: Sweet and fluid. Lemon drops. Tinned pears. With water an astringent note. Artichoke leaves.
Finish: Dry, spicy with a slightly bitter edge.
Comment: The nose is more enticing than the palate. But a decent dram on the whole.

Taster
Nose: Sweet and creamy at first. Barmbrack loaf, golden raisins, dried fruit and a lovely butteriness. Hints of cinnamon and orange peel as well.
Palate: Warming chilli heat due to that ABV, but this fades leaving melting brown sugar and more dried fruits, trail mix. There are traces of smoke here too. A very distant smoked almond note emerges.\r
Finish: The smoke makes itself known with a cleansing sweetness. This is an easy dram for such strength.
Comment: Despite its strength as very easy drinking whisky. Could be a jack of all trades: ice, water, cocktails...
Score: 8
