After years of being a Kentucky whiskey, Early Times moves back into the bourbon world. Young, sound and light.
No age statement
Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Assertive oak, cherry and lots of coconut. Light and clean with some lemon thyme, dried oregano, cinnamon balls and geranium.
Palate: Cocoa powder and overall quite dusty. Wood is having a fair say on a pretty\rlight distillate. Doesn't like water.
Finish: Clean with light spices.
Comment: After years of being a Kentucky whiskey, Early Times moves back into the bourbon world. Young, sound and light.
Nose: Estery. Floral. Hyacinth. Hint of paint varnish. In time, that off note disappears. Develops on nutty and biscuit aromas.
Palate: Crisp, dry. Oaky flavours. Toffee and chocolate. Quite pleasant.
Finish: Medium. Soothing toffee notes. Parma violet at the back.
Comment: A tantalising bourbon. Good combination of oaky and pastry notes..
