Nose

Deep, sweet dark chocolate and hazelnut gelato with dried dates, toasted pine nuts and powdered cinnamon, with lifted aromas of honey and fennel. A dusty element, oat cake.

Palate

Dark chocolate and chilli flakes give way to a satchel carrying a tobacco box, pencil shavings and a pair of oat cakes in honey.

Finish

Dry cocoa powder, black pepper and cigar spice, with a hint of sour cherry.

Comment

My sweet tooth really loves the chocolaty sweetness, but this is balanced perfectly by the spicy dryness.
