Nose: Clean, medium-rich and sweet. Golden syrup, caramel, preserved lemon and a little waxiness , underpinned by cooked fruit, herbs shading into pine\rand sanded wood.

Palate: cumin and coriander and black cherry. Sweet and substantial.

Finish: Smoky wood.

Comment: Interesting how a few years ago an 8yo bourbon would have been considered old, yet here you can still pick put 'youthful' vibrancy.

Nose: Fragrant and rich. Exotic wood. Sandalwood. Fading rose. Orange\rpeel. Nutmeg, hint of cinnamon. Like a dusty pot-pourri. Fruit come in waves.\rCooked first, damson plum jam, the\rdried. Apple peel, raisins.

Palate: Crisp but not dry. A well balanced sweetness releasing luscious fruit\rflavours and spices.

Finish: Full, concentrated, with a slight astringency. Peppery too.

Comment: A very well-balanced whiskey. The alcohol is perfectly mastered.
