Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Whiff of damp hay and wheat chaff. Lightly charred oak and a little earthy,\rwith some sweet malt.

Palate: Slow to start with a numb, slightly pent-up feel. Woodsmoke is present,\rfruit-soaked cheesecake base, tobacco, strawberry jam.

Finish: Spices galore.

Comment: Pleasant, but the burnt wood knocks it back.

Score: 7.3

Taster

Nose: Creamy with toffee and vanilla, gooseberries and ripe green melon.

Palate: After the pussycat nose this growls a bit, with sharp apple and some fierce\rmustiness, like someone's stirred up a muddy pool.

Finish: Medium and complex.

Comment: I'm bemused and confused by this. It's like listening to the Red Hot Chili\rPeppers. Too much going on to really be enjoyable.
