Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Complex mix of ripe peachy fruit, baked banana, fruit smoothie, orange peel/blossom. Light nuttiness/malt, cream. Water adds weight and brings out extra maturity and depth.

Palate: Rich with good impact, slightly dry, then tingling spices. Heavy and quite explosive. Once again, it deepens (and dries slightly) with water.

Finish: Long, rich, cooked peach.

Comment: Has the X factor.

Score: 8.5

Taster

Nose: Fizzy oranginess, steamed apple pudding, furniture polish, sherbert and mixed peel. Comb honey, fresh and perfectly ripe pears.

Palate: Complex.

Finish: Christmas pudding with flaming alcohol, and burnt twigs.

Comment: Right in so many ways: balanced but stimulating, challenging but comforting. It reminded me of Clynelish.
