A beautiful and complex nose, palate starts right then the elegant spiciness.
1973, Aged 30 Years, Gonzalez Bypass
Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Cherry compote. Green walnut. Touch of tar. Tobacco leaf. Hot coffee. Sweeter aromas slowly emerge. Shortcrust pastry. Vanilla biscuit.
Palate: Sherry reveals heavy fruit: prunes, plums, cherries. Pleasant sourness. Spicy, tickling.
Finish: Very spicy. Really numbing tastebuds. Bitter chocolate aftertaste.
Comment: A beautiful and complex nose, palate starts right then the elegant spiciness.
Nose: Amber in colour and fruity, almost winey nose of black fruits, Ribena, chocolate and in time resin. Water brings out wood oils, sandalwood.
Palate: Rich oak tones, well structured and complex. Cigar box, berry fruits, walnut. Very sweet, very deep with good tannic structure.
Finish: Long, sweet and savoury. Tea leaf.
Comment: An exotic dram with an extra dimension and complexity. Sensual.
