Great nose but a little dry on the tongue.
25 Years Old
Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Pleasant smokiness -we're on the bonfire side of things, burning\rcreosoted railway sleepers, spruce logs. Then comes sillage before an\rozone freshness takes charge.
Palate: A nutty start with the smoke in check. You search for sweetness but it's hard\rto detect. Oak grips a little.
Finish: Clean, dry and peppery.
Comment: Great nose but a little dry on the tongue.
Nose: Fishy and peaty initially but work with it and there are traces of citrus, and\rchocolate lime candy.
Palate: Surprisingly delicate interplay between citrus fruits, green fruits\rand peat.
Finish: Firm and lingering, with peat coating the mouth.
Comment: Peat enhancing a whisky and not dominating it. Stylish.
