Nose: Damp hedgerows, elderflower cordial, warm wool, a gentle herbal quality,\rblueberry jam, a touch of peat and wooden travel trunks.
Palate: Woody, peated and earthy notes. Sautéed mushroom, treacle cake with\rcream, blackberry compote.
Finish: Dries with those peaty notes lingering gently.
Comment: Nicely balanced but with a seriously great nose.
Nose: Candied cherries, some leather notes, melted butter, black liquorice and a\rhint of carbolic soap and softer peat round out the initial nose. Water gives\rmore spice and a touch of fresh apple.
Palate: Very spicy, with white pepper, cloves, some star anise and a touch of\rcreaminess. A wisp of peat pops in at the end, alongside green apple.
Finish: Lengthy, with drying peaty/ malty notes.
Comment: Well put together, with a nice display of spice and peat.
