Tasting Notes

Nose

Earthy and meaty, sweet barbecue smoke, light but luscious honey and hints of green apple, lime and quince. Mature sawdusty oak appears. Beneath lies a touch of sumptuous sherried dried fruit.

Palate

Mature oak shows first but it’s not overwhelming. Sugar sprinkled barley, honey, apricot and lime with a touch of coffee, earth and subtle dried fruit.

Finish

What a finish! Mouthcoating oak and honey with some grippy coffeed tannin and green fruit. Dries a little towards the end but the honey balances and lingers. \n
