Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: This nose has everything that a great American whiskey should have: jam, spice and vanilla in equal measure.

Palate: A veritable mix of classic American whiskey flavours, this delivers them at the right volume, at the right time. Cherry, cigars and vanilla. All present and correct.

Finish: Wonderfully sweet without being over the top.

Comment: A fantastic example of this style of whiskey making.

Taster

Nose: Supple mocha aromas with some mature, spicy, almost Armagnac-esque dried fruit. Hints of violets, incense and perfumed spice appear along with some beautifully aromatic vanilla pod and hints of honey.

Palate: Soft and silky with toffee coated corn, mature honey and sweet spices. The oak is again quite subtle adding a light vanilla sheen. Late biting, herbal spices give it a bit of a kick. \n

Finish: Good length with the Armagnac-esque dried fruit coming through along with lingering herbal rye. \n

Comment: Wonderfully mature and quite subtle.
