Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Nutty. Burnt toast, llight rasin notes, cooked raspberry, almost jammy. Water releases top notes, tinned fruit salad.

Palate: Ripe and thick, dried fruits, raisin, light spices. Soft feel. Oak in balance.

Finish: Charred, almost smoky. Mushroom.

Comment: A well balanced 'finish'. Marsala suits it well.

Score: 7.8

Taster

Nose: Floral and fruity. Delicate touch of orange blossom. Overipe pear. Distinctive creamy nuttiness. Fresh walnut. Wood notes emerge slowly and softly.

Palate: More vibrant than nose announced. Fizzy. Develops on buttery notes. Plum pie.

Finish: Tangy, spicy, lingering. Fresh ginger. Peppery.

Comment: Not much connection between nose and palate. But the surprise is pleasant. A beautiful wake-up malt on rainy days.
