Nose

Pow! Lots of oaky tannins, and American oak-like character. Vanilla and pine wood sap. Some soft fruits and a little heather smoke too.

Palate

Boff! Again more of these bourbon-like oak tannins but some malt character hiding underneath.

Finish

More sappy woodiness.

Is this Scotch I thought? Yes, but not as we are used to it. Interesting.
