Nose

Rye grassiness. Molasses and a hint of sugarcane juice. Pecan brittle. Orange and cranberry cookie. Hints of raisin and dried fig. Ground clove and a little cayenne pepper.

Palate

Medium-full. Milk chocolate fruit and nut bar. Deep, fruity molasses. Maraschino cherry, fresh mint, seeded rye bread, toasted pecan, and rich vanilla custard. With water, caramel and liquorice.

Finish

Medium. On peppermint tea and juicy stone fruit.

Comment

It’s fairly manageable for the proof, but probably best enjoyed over ice.
