Taster

Nose: Earthy, damp moss. Like walking in a wood on a wet day. Developing on a slightly rancid cheesy note. Cereals and dry hay with a drop of water.

Palate: Smooth and sweet. Fudge and ginger. Water gives it a velvety feel\rbut strangely enough,it brings in a slight bitterness.

Finish: Quite lingering, soothing on fudge and liquorice.

Comment: The nose is not inviting but the palate delivers interesting flavours.

Taster

Nose: Malty/mashy notes. Draff steaming in the cold air. Barley sugar with a hint of pear, stewed apple and light almond. Fragrant, with some burnt wood.

Palate: Acidic, mouth watering start then a creamy mid-palate. Rounded and apple like mid-palate. The acidity returns towards the finish. Very clean.

Finish: Tingling.

Comment: Well controlled. Wood just coming into play and despite the sulphur it's a pleasing light, sweet spirit.
