Taster

Nose: Light, with orange notes. Tingling spices. Citrus oils, a dusting of cocoa. Crisp and quite lean. Young and fresh with a hint of apple.

Palate: A fresh dried tangerine quality. Balances relative lightness with a soft gentle mid-palate and a zesty finish.

Finish: Long, soft, citric.

Comment: Not the biggest, but a versatile balanced bourbon.

Score: 7.8

Taster

Nose: Sweet and sour. First restrained then blossoming up. Cider apple, even close to cider. A light floral touch (freesia). Coffee drops.

Palate: Thick, syrupy. Floral. Parma violet, liquorice. Somewhat austere. Oak stands fast. Nutmeg. Brazil nut.

Finish: Dry, oaky. Spicy outburst.

Comment: Reminiscent of an old calvados at first. Palate is less creamy than the nose. For those who like it spicy. Water tames spices a little though.
